Hello 👋 I am Akshay Gaikwad, software developer by craft, curious learner by nature. I build reliable systems with Go and Python, contribute to open source (ManageIQ, LFX mentorship, Paralus), and explore ideas across distributed systems, DevOps, and the art of writing simple software.

Most of my work revolves around designing microservices, working through algorithmic problems, and shipping clean, maintainable code. I lean toward the pragmatic end of the craft, where simple solutions tend to win.

I’m a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and have spent a good amount of time across the DevOps stack like containerised workloads, CI/CD, and the operational glue that keeps services running in production.

Outside of writing code, I read widely. Technical books keep my craft honest, and the non-technical ones keep me curious. Continuous learning is what makes a long career in software stay interesting, so I try to take that seriously.
